English's Family Restaurants - (410) 289-7333

English's has the best chicken around. Always crispy and juicy (not greasy). They also have a line buffet with beef, ham, veggies, salads, desserts, and limited seafood. It's not the Ritz Carlton Restaurant as some people might like, but you don't pay Ritz Carlton prices either. I live 140 miles from English's, and visit every chance I get. I never leave hungry, and have never had to ask for a drink refill. It is just as the name states, "a family restaurant" where you can go in casually dressed, sit down and enjoy good food. My only complaint EVER was that the bathrooms aren't always the cleanest. About the service; the buffet was out of chicken once when I went to refill. The cook brought exactly what I wanted directly to my table for me. Now if all this is the makings of a terrible restaurant, then I guess I like terrible restaurants. The food is not frozen as some might think. And as far as deep frying the chicken; I thought fried chicken was supposed to be fried. If someone has a bad sxperience, that's one thing. To entirely slam a good restaurant because it didn't fit your bill isn't necessary. Try being honest. Some people just CAN'T BE PLEASED no matter what.

Stay away from this place, the food is horrible, it is all frozen food deep fried and dripping with grease!!! The gravy was like jelly, and you get better fish fillets from Mrs. Pauls. The buffet looks like one of those prison cafeterias you see see on TV. Spend the extra money and go to a more reputable buffet. Spending your money in this place is like flushing it down the toilet. After all the grease thats exactly what you do. English's a cardiologists income!!!

Cheap prices and cheap food - not quality stuff. Lots of fat and grease. Place was overrun with tourists. Not worth the wait. Avoid the breakfast buffet.
