“well it's funny how none of these reviews come from actual students at worcester preparatory school. i've gone to worcester since preschool and am a junior this year. The school has an extremely good arts program for this area. I have participated in the musical theater, dance, and chorus programs each year and they are in no means 'jokes.' The school newspaper is well-written by any students who volunteer. The basketball and lacrosse teams are extraordinary for a private school. Someone mentioned popularity, but honestly, does popularity really matter? i'm one of those people who is friends with just about everybody in a variety of grades, and i don't see a problem. The teachers are excellent, I have only had two teachers whose classes i have not enjoyed, and there is a wide variety of classes available in the highschool as well as many electives.”

“Worcester Preparatory School is an exceptional school. The sports are great, the education is top notch, and the the atmosphere is pretty good. There are arts here but this school is more about education and sports. If you want your child to learn all the arts in depth, School of the Arts in selbyville is the place to send them. If you want great education and sports, definitley send them to Worcester. The tuition might seem high but its worth it. The teachers are very dedicated here. THey will help you suceed in anyways possible.”

“Four lawyers, Three Doctors, One Dentist, and about eight or nine that went on to earn degrees higher than a B.A. & Thats just from a graduating class of about twenty-five people. I think that says enough about how well this school will prepare your child for higher education. Enough Said.”

“My son will be entering first grade next year, and our first year at Worcester Prep was great. His teachers were absolutely wonderful and seemed to truly care about my son and his needs. He was offered one on one attention by other members of the staff in order to keep his interest high in the classroom. He was an accelerated reader when he entered Kindergarten and they made sure his learning continued. I'm upset by the unsighned statements about drugs in this school. People should own up to what they say, especially when it might affect another person's educational opportunities. I spoke with parents, former students and community members before sending my son to this school, and was not given any negative information. I asked specifically about drugs, and was told they can be anywhere, not just in private schools. Take ownership of your words, please. Great School.”

“The review about drugs being rampant at this school is a lie. I graduated from there four years ago and there were no drugs whatsoever. This is a very politically conservative school. Absoloutly no creative outlets worth mentioning--school newspaper is a joke, one musical a year that is a joke, no literary magazines or anything. No student run clubs. Sports are very popular. The education is absoloutly top notch, the teachers are amazingly dedicated and care about their students so much. All in all, a fantastic education, don't send your child here if you want them to have lots of creative outlets. Too small to have fringe groups--either you are popular ot not. usually sports players are only popular ones.”

“This is a wonderful school. The teachers really care about their students. The children receive top level education in a nurturing environment. My children are having so much fun as they learn from these innovative teachers. I would not send them anywhere else.”

“Worcester Preparatory School has established a traditional atmosphere in which students are encouraged to develop to the fullest of their intellectual ability. The program is rigorous and taught by highly qualified, nurturing, caring teachers. The environment is warm and pleasant. Students are encouraged to participate in school activities so that they may develop a sense of self-esteem and the ability to work with others. The school is absolutely tops.”

“The school is very good all around. The education you receive is second to none in the area. The accreditations come from some of the finest agencies and awards for various programs are always the norm. Class sizes are small offering more interaction one on one from the teachers, who are some of the best around. The campus has grown over time to include a state of the art library, media center, computer lab, science lab, and now a new gym is under construction. If college is where you want to go, this school makes the 1st year feel like 12th grade again. Tuition is comparable to other schools, however considering the education received, it is a great value.”

“Educationally this school is very good. The student body is very small and relative to the locality primarily upper middle class to pretty wealthy. This tends to breed a sense of entitlement and the 'real world' of the college campus was rather a shock. Discipline is relative to potential loss of a parent donation...definitely will not annoy parent donors regardless of the child's infraction. Drugs are rampant. Not the private school for those who are looking for a good education for their child and willing to make compelling financial sacrifices in order to provide said education. While the extracurricular activity opportunities have increased dramatically in the years since my attendance, they don't compete with those found in a public high school. Drug use is a problem within the older students.”
