The tornado warning was issued in New Jersey for up to four counties in the Northeast, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia after more severe thunderstorms hit the states this afternoon. Tornado warnings or severe weather warnings issued were lifted at 10: 30 a.m., according to the US Department of Homeland Security, with the exception of a tornado and a severe weather warning issued in the New Brunswick, Middlesex, Somerset, Gloucester, Essex, Sussex and Somerset districts, as well as in some areas of New Hampshire.
